Social Events – an introduction.
It was a quiet night. The usual rabble were absent for some reason or another. Who am I kidding, the usual rabble had been absent for a long time and they were never coming back. Who felt like socialising these days?
Then the door swung open, and in she came outta the rain. Way this broad walked, you could just tell she meant business. Well, she walked right up to the bar, took a seat and ordered…tea of all things. She drank, looking around the bar and making notes in a little book.
“Whaddaya want, lady?”
“Kinda empty in here.”
“Yeah. What’s it to you?”
“I have…a proposition for you. You give me free rein to run a few little social events here, and I fill this joint for you,” she purred, sliding a business card across the bar. A name, a symbol, and a number all picked out in black. Noodle, her name was. An eye symbol and the number 31.
I told her I’d think on it, and she left. But what she said played on my mind. It had been a long time since this place had a spark of life. I turned over the card, and saw an address. Maybe this dame was the real deal, maybe she wasn’t. But she talked the talk, and looked like she could back it up. So I sent her a message.
Well. That’s how I first heard of Leprecon. If I knew what she was planning, would I have let her run Leprecon Social Events in my bar? Now there’s a question…
